Fun Fall Days

Fall is my favorite season. This Fall has been a very busy and exciting time. The Thanksgiving season in particular was just so great. I am so thankful for this family, community, friends, and neighbors. My heart is truly full here.

One of the things we enjoy in the neighborhood are Tuesday night Bible studies. The girls and boys meet in separate houses. It has been so exciting to learn about Christ together. Sometimes we get together outside of Bible study and do something fun. The photos below are of a fall cookie day we had a few weeks ago. It was a blast! Everyone did an amazing job on their cookies.

Check out these awesome cookie artists!

Georgia is definately a fun part of fall!

Another fun thing we enjoyed was going to Disney Princesses on Ice. Someone gave us great coupons so two neighbors and I decided we were totally up for an afternoon at Phillips Arena. One of the boys decided that the girls and I shouldn’t be allowed to go without a “bodyguard”. So he and my husband came and kept us well protected against all of the ferocious little girls in princess dresses ;). (Being there was similar to an episode of “Toddlers In Tiaras”.) Best quote when the show was over was, “Well….that wasn’t too girly. It may have even been a tiny bit manly.” It was a great day. Thank you to whomever it was that gave the coupons! And thank you to our great bodyguards for taking such good care of us.

Also, the Vine City Vipers have been getting ready for basketball season. Everyone is excited, getting jerseys and practicing. I am sure there will be more pictures of the boys’ games over the next few weeks. The girls have decided that the boys definitely need our support. They got together this weekend and had their first cheerleading practice. They have started all on their own. In the spirit of a true cheerleader, they were sensitive to support and encouraging each other and have patience for each other when it was difficult. Below is their very first cheer which they taught each other in 15 minutes! I was so impressed they are already this far. There were a few girls missing so I am sure they will also have a ton of fun cheers to add to the team! I am looking forward to a really fun Vipers season.
